NEW BLOG!

If you’re a regular to www.jasonmcgrewphotography.wordpress.com (that’s this blog that you’re on right now!) then you most likely have noticed that just recently, I changed this blog’s look from the brown and dark one to this plain and simple green one lately. What you most likely didn’t know is that I’ve been waiting for a whole new blog to be custom designed by one of my great friends Chaz Cruz! We went to Hallmark together, so he’s a photographer who also previously went to college for web design. He’s awesome and I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to create my new blog!So, here’s the scoop, this blog (www.jasonmcgrewphotography.wordpress.com) will always be in existance, but no new posts will come on here anymore. I’m not deleting this blog because I want to keep the posts I have on here up for the world to look at still. However, all new posts and images will now be on my new blog. I’m so excited about this new blog because it has links on the top to my website, my myspace page (specifically for JMP), contact me page, and even a link to come here (”Old Blog”)! Also, I’m really excited to show this new blog because it showcases my new look.  A much cleaner, springier, more unified look and color scheme. (My hope is that it appeals to guys and gals equally, where before it appealed to guys more, and that it attracts more wedding and portrait clients.)  So here it is folks, bookmark away!  WWW.JASONMCGREW.COM  

 

WPPI- Photo shoot.

When I was in Vegas last week, I attended a photo shoot that an alumni from Hallmark put on with some help from Hallmark. We shot in an old western town near Red Rock Canyon called Bonnie Springs. Here are some of my favorite images:

Since returning from Vegas, I have been all kinds of busy.  One of the things I’m working on is editing the amazing wedding of Cassie and Aaron. They have some amazing images coming their way. Happy Easter!

Well, I’m now back from my fabulous week in Las Vegas! I have so many images that I haven’t shown you yet, I’m trying to get caught up! (Including some sweet pics I got in Vegas.) I promise that within the next little while, you will be richly rewarded for coming to my blog. Yesterday was Easter- my wife, like so many women, loves to dress us all in new spring  clothes. I of course took this opportunity to snap a couple of quick pics. My son especially needed documenting- he wore a tie for the first time in his life! He rocked the Easter colors and his cool new tie. Check out a couple of my favorites from our Easter pictures. There’s so much more to come, so keep checking back!

WPPI!

This is Jason’s wife Kaylin- I wanted to let everybody know that Jason is currently out of town, to return on Friday, March 21st. He will do his best to answer urgent emails, however, most emails will remain unanswered until Friday. Jason is at WPPI in Las Vegas, (a huge annual photography convention) along with pretty much all the photographer’s who take being a photographer seriously. It’s a great week of classes, continuing education and networking. Prepare to have Jason come back an even better photographer and business owner than he already is! Janey’s Bridals

Janey is the beautiful bride of Jason. The two of them always look amazing together, and today was no exception when it was time to photograph Janey’s bridals.

Janey has one of most beautiful dresses that I have seen. It is simple, elegant and looks amazing on her. She was showing it off and turning heads all over the place. I know Jason will be in shock when he sees Janey on their wedding day later this month.

I am so excited to photograph their wedding on the 22nd. Thanks Janey, (and your mom) for another amazing session.

Cassie’s Bridals

So I am kind of sad now that this session is over. Cassie and Aaron have been so much fun and their sessions are like no other. I hope that I will have more couples that are willing to do something unique and show off who they are, like Cassie and Aaron have.

Cassie’s bridals took place once again, on the mountain at Brighton ski resort, her second home! Her session sported amazing weather and she looked spectacular! Her dress was perfect and she was grabbing everyone’s attention!!

Later on Aaron arrived and was sporting a suit; he was flying high! The two of them looked stunning.

Weekend Fun!

I thought that I would quickly post a few images that I took this weekend. For those who are avid blog readers you know that I bought a snowmobile back in December. I have become very addicted to going every week. Saturday morning my brother, Travis, and my brother-in-law, Mike and myself headed up the canyon for a great day of sledding.

I shot only a few images, but I wanted to share them before I start posting some super great stuff that is going to happen with Jason McGrew Photography later this week and next.
